Thursday 10th December marked our second annual event, held at the picturesque Australian Museum in the heart of Sydney. With bison and whales just beyond the theatre door, this was an opportunity to show what SolveXia has been up to over the past year, and what we intend for the future with the help of our clients.
Our guest presenter, Martin Fahy, who is a partner in the Shared Services Outsourcing Advisory practice at KMPG in Sydney, and a thought leader in the field of business process outsourcing and finance transformation, kicked off our presentation segment. He shared his intriguing insights on how robotic process automation will affect our economy, commenting on the challenges and benefits that exist with this transition.
Adem, our pre-sale expert, shared some case studies regarding internal business processes and the travel industry, and how we have been able to solve problems for these companies. Security is also a big deal at SolveXia. Our CTO, Paul, demonstrated threats that exist in our everyday web-browsing practices, and offered tips on how to ensure that we are protected. Why should you only be browsing sites that use HTTPS? And how do you really make a good password? (Stay tuned – we will be sharing videos of these soon for those who missed out!)
Lastly we gave a demo of a powerful new calculation engine we have in the pipeline that will change how you work with large amounts of data and complex formulae. More details will be released in the coming months, but be sure to subscribe to our newsletter for future updates.
We finished off the evening with cocktails and canapés in the Minerals room. Who would’ve thought rocks could be so fascinating?
We look forward to working with our clients to solve more complex business problems in 2016. The SolveXia team thanks everyone who came out for this event, and we wish you all the best for the New Year.
