Data security is critical to our customers and their business processes on the SolveXia platform. We are therefore pleased to announce that SolveXia is now SOC 2 Type 1 compliant. Achieving SOC 2 compliance is key to our commitment to our customers that we will continue to enhance data security procedures and practices within SolveXia.
A SOC 2 Type 1 report is granted after a company undergoes an auditing process administered by an independent, third-party audit firm. Completing the SOC 2 process demonstrates that SolveXia has developed and implemented a system of controls and operational processes to meet a globally recognised security standards.
What is SOC 2 and why does compliance matter?
A SOC 2 report is for service organisations that hold, store, or process the information of their users. When automating processes with SolveXia, you have the option to store data that may contain sensitive information about your company and customers. As a result, the security and privacy of your data in SolveXia is critical.
System and Organisation Controls (SOC) are regulations established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). A SOC 2 report evaluates an organisation's systems relevant to security, availability, and confidentiality. A SOC 2 report comes in two forms:
- Type 1: Reviews the suitability of an organisation's controls as at a specified date; and
- Type 2: Reviews the suitability over a specified period. In essence, a Type 2 report is proof that the controls (in Type 1) have been implemented properly over a period of time.
These reports provide valuable information to help customers assess and address the potential security risks of using a service provider.

What's next for compliance at SolveXia?
A SOC 2 Type 1 compliance certification is a major data security milestone for SolveXia. Our next step is to pursue a SOC 2 Type 2 audit, which builds on our Type 1 achievements and will validate the effectiveness of these controls over a period of time. In the future, SolveXia will continue to work with our auditors to complete SOC 2 Type 2 evaluations on a regular basis so our users can be confident that their data remains secure.
